Red Cross

Welcome to the Lowell Red Cross Club: the largest club here at Lowell! As a chapter of the American Red Cross, we are part of a renowned global humanitarian organization that provides essential services in over 150 countries. Our mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering by mobilizing the power of volunteers! Some volunteering opportunities we offer are, beach clean ups, Christmas gift wrapping, awareness events, and many more! As a member of the club, you will have the opportunity to learn first hand the branches of Red Cross by becoming CPR & First Aid certified, learn life saving skills, help host blood drives and donate blood, as well as gain volunteer hours. By participating actively, you can enhance your leadership skills and potentially earn nationally recognized awards that celebrate your dedication and contributions. In past years we have been able to fundraise a total of $7,200 for disasters and humanitarian crises, including Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Dorian, the Australian wildfires, and children in Yemen. In response to COVID-19, we have also been able to donate hundreds of masks and cards to homeless shelters and healthcare workers. We meet every other Monday at 3:40 PM in the choir room. If you’re passionate about making a difference in your community and beyond, the Lowell Red Cross Club is the perfect place for you!
